that would be sick, i see what hes saying about the eye to eye thing. i mean they are big sharks they eat crap, fish people ..ect. if i was hungry and saw a deer i would shoot it and eat it.
Yeah the eye to eye thing is crazy when we're talking about a fish of that size, just impressive creatures all around
D@mnnn that dude is crazy, but in a good way. Mad kudos to him for his respect for sharks and just animals in general. I'd love to see a great white like that in person but def behind bars. Does this guy do caged dives or is he free ballin it?
Both caged and "un-caged" diving were being shown. I have yet to see a shark while surfing. Back in 86, I was snorkeling off Key Largo (Pennekamp) with my Dad. Before we went in the water, we were told about a 6 ft bull shark that frequented the area. They even had a name for him. Can't recall what it was - let's say Dave. I saw "Dave" after we had been out for a half hour or so. He swam right by my Dad and I. Dad never saw it. After the shark passed, I started to swim after it, and it quickly swam away. During that same trip, I saw a 5 ft 'cuda while snorkling off Destin, FL. Dad was there too. Again, he didn't see it. Like Paulie, I was more concerned about those fish because of their sudden quickness and reputation for striking at a diver in reaction to seeing a shiny object, such as the sunlight reflecting off a metal watch. I think I'd be more spooked seeing a large shark while out sitting on my board, feet danging in the water. Not sure which would be spookier, being in very clear water or murky water.
Good stuff guys, seen both shark and cuda while surfing, one day at the inlet the cudas were everywhere, just surfed and hoped for the best, nobody got bit, was just one of those days on high alert, there were so many pods of bait fish that every time a wave broke, you could see them all getting rolled up in the wave, talking hundreds of thousands of them, thought for sure one of was gonna get it
