Okay here we go. Good thing here is you can surf where you want, except between flags. Good breaks are between flags sometimes but whatever. My point is you can also fish outside of flags, which is fine, sometimes. My break is by a jetty which swarms with fishermen, i will use the term "men" loosely. Generally they are washed up fata$$es with little d1Ck trucks parked on the street, that dont want to go home to their wives, or waddle their fata$$es 3 mins up the beach to a real jetty. I get the "wives" thing, ive seen some of these swamp things and they look like the last one left at a bad speed dating session at the marine mammal stranding center. However ive noticed in recent years its getting ridiculous. First off they cant catch fish, let alone their breath. Second, i will be there first and they will cast right by me, then get pissed when im by their line. Nothing like a bleeding fish head on a hook in murky water somewhere around you while trying to enjoy yourself. Not to mention what that attracts that i cant see. A couple of weeks ago, it was a decent crowd in the lineup, couple older surfers, but maybe 6 kids, like 9-10 year olds if that. Theres about 4 people fishing, casting right out by us. Something is wrong with this. Its just dangerous and stupid. Side note, where i usually go theres no break anywhere close, it just breaks there. I dont have a little d1Ck truck, i have a big d1(k so i drive a sedan. I cant drive to the legit jetty. Theres no where else to go. Someone gonna get hooked in the eye one day and thatll be the end of free for all fishing in brigantine. I will bring it up at the next meeting.
You should bring this up to the guys at rip tide bait shop. I'm sure they'll pass a memo out to all the local anglers
Im failing to miss the point of what your TOed about in Brigantine. Is it that fact you dont drive a truck? That you dont have a little d1ck? that there are people fishing were fish are known to hang out? that you are surfing were fish are known to hang out?
