Sunday morning was def some sick waves. Surfed OC in the morning then tower rd in the afternoon. For the most part it was like head high on set but it was either make it or die bc it was breaking in like 2-3 feet of water. Snapped my 6.0 wrv right in half rigth after getting shacked on a nice left. Anyone else have any problems or broken boards?

My buddy broke 2 boards in 2 days....And some pepper dropped in on my bro at Deal (Phillips Ave.) yesterday......with a 9 ft. board going left as my bro was going right. Long story short the pepper rode over my buddies board and the fin went straight through the deck and out the side of the rail. It got real ugly after that happened. Was anyone else there yesterday to witness that?

    Board shopping time

Was also at OC yesterday, snapped the nose off my 6'1" dan taylor after a closeout left. Never found the nose. Probably burried in the sand somewhere. Time to go board shopping.

I had some assclown duckdive into my board yesterday. Kid paddles out right to the point (another priority boy...) and is sitting right on everyone's ass and comes up right underneath me. Of course, he claims it's not his fault and claims to live "right here." He also claims that I don't live here although I live two blocks from the beach. Unfortunately for him, I will see him around and he'll have random things start happening to his property well into the future.

I like DT boards, but does anyone else find they break often? Had a brand new one and snapped in half on a not even heavy wave.

Seems like Hammer breaks them a lot.

It's amazing when people don't look before they drop in. I was on a wave for about 5 seconds, and in perfect position the entire time, when a guy blatantly dropped in 2 inches from my face. Nearly skewered me. Thats 10times scarier than any waves we've ever had on the east coast.

Had that happen to me on a few occasions. Can be scary...life or death situation sometimes. Only one thing you can do...escort him out the water.

I've known more than one person to snap a firewire. They definitely are tougher than poly boards, but not indestructible. Same goes for tuflites, know people who have snapped them too.

I pulled to 70th yesterday in the afternoon to do a surf check and the Life Guard had 3 surfboard noises standing in the sand next to him.
Def some good heavy surf and there was way to freakn much direspect in the water. I shot pics at 30th st. area for a while and saw so many poeple just being AN A S S!!! dropping in ,paddling out infront of ,boards flying. I also saw alot of 'news, kook, insert words here) eat S H I T so freakn hard I cryed luaghing.

How much self control do you have to just watch the others and capture their fun? I have an underwater camera and I couldn't even drag myself out of the water to go get it. The anxiety to go in would be so intense it'd probably look like I was trying my hardest not to piss myself. I'm glad someone does it though. It helps build the sport and all the surf movies I have wouldn't even exist if it weren't for people like him/her.

I think you meant to quote the other guy (AThreeHourTour). Carson was just brining out the popcorn for the battle. He is on your side...
