This weekend the right side of my tail broke off about 4 inches missing. How hard of a fix is this? or how expensive is this a lost cause?

Are you looking to fix it yourself or inquiring about what it cost to get it fixed? It can be fixed.... just a matter of what route you want to go. If I were fixing a broken tail I would wrap it with a nice piece of carbon fiber. This can be a weak spot and would normally require extra cloth and resin too fix. Instead of adding a lot of weight to the board I would repair it with carbon fiber wrap. A lot of new boards have carbon fiber tail patches on them for added strength.
