Anyone got any ideas on how to mount a Pentax W90 to a bodyboard. I was thinking about taking a mini tripod and drilling it through the board and securing it to the bottom of the board, so you could just screw the camera onto the tripod screw, but I'm kinda stumped?

sounds like a good idea, test it out on some useless boards or cheap ones to see if it works or if it's how you want it.

only problem is the tripod screw on the camera isn't in the middle of the bottom of the camera, it's off to one side, so if I mounted it, the cam would be really unstable

offset the mount to correct the mounting hole in the camera

Just like you'd do to plug the board for the strap, do the same for a camera tripod mount. So the only thing that would be sticking up all the time is the 1/4" screw. Mount it out of the way so your arms/face wouldn't get in the way. Besides that, I don't think it would be a difficult issue.
