Hey. quick question. any help would be rad. im heading to hatteras from NJ this weekend for the swell. what are my best options as far as campsites go...such as least expensive...or closest to breaks...also is there a campsite that most surfers go to...its just 2 of us, so it'd be nice to meet up with other surfers. thanks a lot guys. much appreciated.

dunno if camping is a wise decision this weekend....the weather is supposed to be pretty gnarly. hotel rates are dirt cheap now with the tourist season being over.

but there is a cheap camp site just before the inlet. being able to check anything from p island to buxton as opposed to being in rodanthe or buxton... i dont know i wouldnt be camping this weakend though.. maybe in my car.

heck yes scobey! You call people 'heads' also. I thought I was the only one who said that! Stay at KOA or the one across the street from it is real cheap, I think it's called St Claires. They're both in rodanthe a little bit past sturns...

cape woods said they are open this weekend...the weather isnt looking too bad for camping? 30% chance of rain, and winds maybe at top speed like 20kts...offshores...u really think its a bad idea?
