Looking for any recommendations for a good place to camp in Southern California (Santa Barbara down to San Diego - preferably close to good surf.

Go to Reserve America and book it fast. Google it up. That's where all the sites are booked from.

What time of the year are you planning this (it makes a HUGE difference)?

I'll be out in southern California in late November. Love the idea of sleeping in a tent and waking up to the sound of waves crashing and being right there on it during sunrise.

Southern California is pretty wide open with a lot of options from SB to IB. About 6 to 9 straight hours of driving depending on the time of day.

Do you have a destination more specific (no offense) or just curious for an opinon regarding what would be the best in Southern California during the last week of November?

Really just looking for a nice scenic place to camp, if there's a decent break nearby than that's just a bonus. There's tons of info online on the various state parks, I was just wondering if there are any that anybody would highly recommend.
