http://magicseaweed.com/Cocoa-Beach-Surf-Report/350/

Can I believe this? Forecaster, are you seeing anything close to this for next week? I NEED TO KNOW, there's no chance in hell I'll be at work if this forecast holds up!!!
MSW always seems to overforecast in their long range outlooks. it will change... probably for the worse, as we get closer.
Yeah it shows 2ft @ 20 seconds on 9-4-12, I can't remember the last time I've seen 20 sec swell in Florida!
Sorry Kyle, You live on the East Coast. There's no such thing as a long range forecast on this side of the States. 48hours is all that you should ever trust (i.e. Don't make plans to call in sick next week!)
i heard the lobsters are heavy on the inside this year and creat a epic sandbar...or should i say lobster bar! also take a net for a fresh meal
there is supposed to be another storm brewing in the 72 hr forecast and if you look at the 96 hr. forecast it looks significant and the 180 hr. forecast looks like the whole east coast is going to get something...knock on wood (yes, i said wood...lol), cross your fingers, and do the swell dance http://www.stormsurfing.com/cgi/display.cgi?a=natla_wave1
NOAA has Kirk heading more N/NW now which is a change in the N/NE model they originally proposed. A million different metrics go into a tropical storm's behavior. They're throwing darts. I think one of the previous posts of 48 hours as far as accuracy is pretty right on, but more so, what it looks like when you actually show up at your line-up. My 2 cents is that MSW is dreadful. https://www.fnmoc.navy.mil/wxmap_cg...antic&prod=sgwvht&dtg=2012082912&set=SeaState
Super fish im not talking about Kirk, there is another system southeast of kirk that they are forecasting to head to the east coast and then running a few hundred miles from the coast before heading north ...lets hope that happens, i could use another round of swell...lol
yeah the updated forecast looks good. but i have gotten too excited this summer and have been let down everytime. i am not going to believe it till it's here... and if it comes, i still wont believe it lol.
I don't even look at MSW anymore. It's like the "little boy that cried wolf" of forecasting sites. All I want are waist to head high mostly clean waves and I'm happy. Saturday afternoon and evening was awesome down here in Jax beach.
Swell is showing on Swellinfo as well, but hopefully we have all learned are lesson with regards to Tropical Storm forecasting. This next storm will likely be named in the next day or two, so lets keep our eyes on it and hopes high. Swellinfo Hurricane Center
Surfline is showing the swell too, but then again all forecasts were pointing to a good swell from Joyce and we all know how that played out.
hello kirk,my name is tony!!!we hope you bless us with your wickedness and let us throw enough spray to chase the barnies out!!!!!this summers been a bummer, wtf are all the storms?the 1st thing i do when i get online is check all the forecast sites like this, msw, and they all overshoot or undershoot the swell.for instance,it says 1.6ft and u see guys getting chest high barrels,or its 6ft and barely above knee high.just do what i do!wait the dual dopplar radar for a little colorish blob, preferbly purple moving off the coast!!it never prevails!!!!!!!
Word. It's hard not getting excited for a potential swell, just like it would be hard not getting excited for a potential one nighter with Mila Kunis.
Well, I always doubt MSW; however, SwellInfo is now showing 5.5 ft @ 14 seconds on the 5th. I swear, could it be the reward for a terrible summer in South FL, I'm praying for it. (Not sure who to pray to though?) I've got this crazy feeling I'm going to get food poisoning at some point next week.
