I am hoping to look at a 5'8" nugget today that maybe slightly thinner... 5'8" x 20 x 2? I agree that thickness could add too much volume making it too floaty. I am also an all year round surfer... 175lbs with full wetsuit, I must weigh 200lbs Plus with all that crap on. Ha Ha...

PS: I did have a look at the Rusty Pirhana. My buddy had a Rusty, seems to be thin glassing, easy to ding or break.

Foam is your friend. Don't hate on the foam.

    Should we hate EPOXY molds/layers...?

Thanks for all your advice. I purchased the WRV Nugget 5'8" x 20" x 25/8". I road the board several times already and didn't work well in mushy small surf, but performed excellent in solid surf 4 foot plus. The board floats me well and is easy to control on fast steep waves. I was able to carve with ease and turn on a dime.
    In all, great purchase. :)
