I got a Thule box, and went big... about 20cu.ft of space. I lay smaller suitcases up there, then lay boards on top, with the fins removed. I can fit two boards in that way, along with spearfishing gear, etc. Big luggage bags go in the back of the truck... Toyota Highlander.

Oh... but don't leave your boards in the box on a hot summer day, in the OBX. Especially if they're EPS/Epoxy. You'll end up with a balloon shaped like a surfboard.

If you can't fit your boards in the cargo box, ratchet strap them to the top.

You are a disgrace to New England surfers having to ask that. An embarrassment!!!

#1: barry suck it...longest bort is 7'6" and I can fit 3 bort quiver into a mazda 3 passenger seat...im lazy and don't care what the inside of my car looks or smells like so never fok with the straps
#2: LB in the carrier - genius! never even thought of that...i'll make sure not to scrape wax and lay it top down on wife's luggage. shes says I do everything half-assed so I better keep in line with that
#3: tard - got creature straps, just gotta figure out how to strap it tight enough & right to the thule luggage carrier (it's sloped) - think if I pack the 7'6" in bag then put 6'4" on top of that itll work well....SUITE pic
