intermediate NE surfer looking to GTFO of the cold water and surf in my bort shorts for cheap somewheres with dark skinned ladies and possibly ganja friendly this jan/feb/march. any suggestions? I'm looking to go solo and looking for recommendations or insight. I would rather surf decent waves with less people as opposed to and awesome break with tons of folk.

Been looking at el salvador, nica, panama, PR, Peru, Ecuador. its a little overwhelming now so any insight to help narrow it down?

PR is crowded, always. Don't go there. Localism is high; they hate Americans.
CR is great--go to Tamarindo. As a tourist you will be welcomed!! Especially by the crocodiles.....

Not sure Peru is ever really warm enough for the bort shorts. Jaco CR is a sh1t hole of a town. Go there if Atlantic City with decent (but not really good) waves is your idea of a surf trip. Pass on it.

Panama, Nica, or El Salvador are your best shot at really warm good waves without hordes of tourists.

Jaco maybe a sh1t hole of a town but its a dam good basecamp to hundreds of accessible waves in Costa Rica...this being my favorite wave of all time!!!! Just a few hours drive south to this gem...
