Last night I went to a wake for a friend I grew up with who died at 46 years old from an accident in her home. I went home and went to bed with no knowledge of the shooting. Took my kids to camp 4 blocks from the AME church this morning and went to work where I heard the terrible news. Pretty farked up week as a whole. All I can say is my heart goes out to the family and friends who are suffering.

So based on what has been reported, guy is photographed wearing symbols used by white supremacists, drives a car with a Confederate States front plate, drives in that car from Columbia to Charleston, goes to the oldest black church in the South, tells the black people in a prayer group that they are "raping our women" and "taking over the country," shoots the people there, purposely leaving a survivor so everyone will know what he did, and then attempts.to escape. And this isn't racially motivated? What would be a racially motivated crime?

 

He may be a racist. But he is certainly crazy.
