Since surfer brahs love beer lets talk the best kind.......the cheap kinds. I am expert on all type of cheap beer, ask me any question you like and I will answer. Otherwise, discuss cheap beer in this forum. Maybe while enjoying 1 or 5 of them.
tecates tall boys are always on sale here for under 2 bucks. and while there is an open container law on books, I have never seen it enforced. walking around with brews all day I can also get down with some ponies (rolling rock)and (key)stones and pbr if on sale have awful memories of the champagne of beers, Busch and natural ice. god bless your 5%+heart nattie ice whats your favorite homie? btw, good thread
Sierra Nevada Torpedo! Wait, you said cheap beer. I do like some Dos Equis, would that fall under "cheap"? Or are we talkin, Nati Bo?
Yuengling. Such great bang for the buck. There's a reason all classes of society drink this hooch. Surfer's beer.
I Switched over to Rolling Rock... A buck cheaper for an 18 pack then PBR. It's a good beach beer, kind of light and if you drink enough. "It'll get you drunk!" Just like Samuel Jackson Beer.
Growing up Busch was our go-to but it was common place to drink Old Milwaukee, Keystone, Olympia and Schaefer. Rolling Rock and Coors Light are my favorite cheap beers and still drink them regularly. The others not so much but I've still got a warm place in my heart for Busch.
Yeungling or Bud heavy, although I have been known to throw back some Mickeys malt liquor (I know it's not technically beer, but cheap swill is cheap swill). Something about those little hand grenade bottles that reminds me of college...
I love them all. Yuengling as others have said is delicious, if you see it in cans get them thank me later. For getting drunk bud ice its actually one of the highest alcohol to calorie beers, tastes good too. Pbr, high life and light, busch heavy and light, ill do em all I could go on all day. Oh 6pk of 16 oz narragansetts is great value for the qualityish and volume. Tough to pick a favorite because they all bring a lot in thier own way.
Mickeys are great if you are sneaking beers around because of the resealable lid. Gotta watch the clanks on those glass bottles though.
Just got back from the DR, and I would like to give a second nod of endorsement. Much better than the alternative Brahman piss. For stateside on a budget, I like my natty ice though.
Busch 24oz deli cans all day, 1.50. 12 pack PBR when on sale for 7.99, 18 pack Bud when on sale for 14.99. I can get down with the High Life. I second the Bud-Ice comment, though I haven't seen bud ice in years. Natty is f*ckin gross, Gansett is f*ckin gross. Picking a favorite cheap beer is like picking a favorite female prison guard to bone. This month it might be Busch, a heavy, Nascar-loving gal from the Midwest. Next month it might be Yeungling, the fat, gap-toothed girl from Pennsylvania who tastes different every time. Either way, you ain't making a choice because it's your favorite. You're finding a favorite because you have no choice.
Bud Ice a classic, 6-pack budweiser tall boys, natty daddy's , steel reserve(240's) taste god awful and are the main drink of the brothers up in North Philly.
If you want a good beer for a cheap price, this is a hands down winner. Now they have a summer wheat too. Its really a far better beer than whats been mentioned. The bottom of the barrel ice beers give you bang for your buck ...Natty Ice, keystone Ice etc.. They are all around 6% alcohol, fairly tolerable and like $8 a 12 pack here in dirty Jersey. For some reason, I like to keep a 12 pack of one of those in the garage for late nights working on my scooters. Seems almost appropriate to drink them room temperature in the garage. Yuengling on the otherbhand is worthy of an iced mug.
It pisses me off when a corner store doesn't have a good cheap beer selection. #1 all time for me is PBR. I get a 4 pack of 16oz for 3 bucks almost daily. Lately the store has Rolling Rock 24oz on sale for a buck. Hard to pass that up. Icehouse tastes crappy, but highly concentrated and cheap so I love that too. Anyone remember Red Dog? Do they still make that stuff? In college we got that for $6 a 12 pack. Used to murder that stuff. Nothing like an ice coldie to wash the salt down after a session. Especially at 10 in the morning.
Beer 30, boy do I love that strange hint of apple juice?, and that purple can, can't beat it. Stuff is awful!
