Whos your go to when planning a trip? Not trying to spend a fortune on air travel flying to cali for two weeks. 5 boards are coming too. Thanks.
Check United. They recently changed their board fees for flights originating or ending in CA...$25.00, same as a regular checked bag.
Wow, really? United was one of the worst. they probably still are the worst, but at only $25 a pop, it makes their suckiness a bit more tolerable I don't know how Trevolution does it, but he hunts every single resource on the web and comes up with some unbelievable deals. But I'm also pretty sure he gets some incredibly low budget flights with some hella layovers. Reminds me when I took a 2nd Class Mexican train from Mexicali to Mazatlan. I think it cost around $20 US, but you're traveling with chickens and pigs and your poop goes straight from the "toilet" to the tracks lol
yeah, I double checked the united thing, and they are saying $30 - still a hell of a deal. I know skyscanner you can use to search for flights to a destination a month at a time, as in search the month of January for all flights to San Juan from Norfolk/VB. Someone else told me about kiwi.com. You can get super cheap flights, but you'll have a sh!t-ton of layovers. All depends on how much you want to spend on comfort vs savings
Time is more valuable than money. Go direct, pay the bill. Go to your computer, trade a few stocks and earn 10X what you just paid for ticket and boards. Simple. Easy. Now enjoy your "time". And do not forget to take wife out to dinner, at a location of HER choice. Life is good.
I don't know where the OP is located in relation to the airport. Learned last year that you can save considerably by buying your tickets at the airport rather than buying on line. Shop on line first then go to the counter at the airport and make your purchase. Got tickets from PHL to LAX round trip for $136 last February by doing this. Actually purchased tickets at the AC Airport to fly out of Philadelphia. Spirit sucks real bad but they actually have reasonable board bag fees and the flights are cheap.
I admit that I’m afraid to fly. And of course, I read feedbacks about airlines before any flight. I found that the most feedbacks about United are negative. Probably, I was lucky, or the feedbacks were unreasonable, but my flight, service, food and even a person who sat next to me were excellent. By the way, United turned out to be more attractive than American airlines, especially in terms of price.
^^^^ Works for United? Don't fly Spirit around the holidays...they completely denied us from bringing our board to NICA in dec ....luggage embargo---so lame
Speaking of luggage - goodbye Jetblue! They upped their board bag fees from $50 to $130, per bag each way. And they were asking how many boards I had with me. If I had been using my coffin bag I would have been hosed. I called them a while back (over a year ago) and the lady I spoke to said they had a one board-per-bag policy, but according to her it was rarely enforced as long as they were all in the same bag. Looks like I'm back to southwest
