I've seen that place get pretty aggro. Although, it's usually only one or two bad apples as everyone else usually does a good job taking turns in the small take-off area.

"7. The Cove, Cape May, N.J.
If The Cove were located in California or Hawaii, it would probably be as famous as Malibu or Waikiki. The Cove is primarily a longboard spot and attracts surfers of all ages and abilities."

That's some pretty funny stuff there! I guess what you get when a Budget Travelor staffer writes a story about surfing...

all the planets in the universe have to be aligned for that place to work. The Cove is stuff of legends though....everybody wants to believe its a good break cause it has a cool name and looks like a classic point. Remember, this is Jersey and it just isn't THAT good. But on the national scale, sure its low key.

If the Cove were in CA or HI... it probably wouldn't be a named spot.

    Just my two cents.

But, if it were in CA or HI it would be exposed to CA and HI type swells vs. NJ swells...that might just turn it into the classic break
