I had a chem-zen , loved it , snap it, then I order another with heavier glass as to not break so easy. the board sucked it felt slow and dead under me. So Im on to WRVs and every one is sick. Eastcoast company for a eastcoast wave. More cost efficent and faster turnaround for customs. The Generator is fast and flickable.

+1 on WRV, I still have my 6'10" FunFish by Mike Daniel (back before he joined Coil), blue with black logo and writing, double concave, decent nose rocker, pulled in swallow tail, thick under the chest and decent rails, it's a great board. A little fragile but has held up for years. Haven't ridden it since I got my Coil but maybe i'll take it out again soon for sh*ts and giggles. Good for longer period swell.

The chemistry disk looks really fun. Everytime I walk into bare wires I want to spend bill money on a chemistry. Im pretty irritated I just realized the board I was riding for last 6 months, that was supposed to be a 5-8 is a shade under 5-7. Still love it, but when its bigger- head high or more, the slightest chop is tough to negotiate

Some shapers measure length along the bottom curve... others by the tip-to-tip straight line on the deck side, which is usually about an inch shorter on a shortboard.

I knew someone would say that. I measured from bottom curve. Even shorter from top. I love the board, just wish it was a solid 5-8. Im just under 5-10, 175 lbs. I like at least 31 liters cuz my legs are built for rugby.

I was looking into the Chem's because I wanted to buy a "local" east coast board and a buddy of mine has b een raving about his. Never had a WRV but had plenty of their shirts when I was a kid. The logo always looked like a claw and not dolphins to me...

Chems are cali thats why they take 8 weeks I think you can get a WRV in three weeks or you could have LBCrew build it.
