nice board ...but I never understood that waxing technique. I wax my board pretty much from tip to tail (or pad), then re-wax the high wear areas every day. If I'm wearing booties, I usually only re-wax the rails (where my hands and legs grip). Just that little patch of wax on the center of the deck would make for a slippery/very frustrating session.
"I wax my board pretty much from tip to tail (or pad), then re-wax the high wear areas every day." Hmmm, sounds pretty thorough...to each his own I guess.
Sick board man, totally different looking than mine at 6'4" and 1.4V. Are you just trying to fund your next Coil? Looking for a different shape?
My brother waxed that same way but it looks like a giant oval where your foot would go. I asked him what the heck is that. He surfs very well like that but I could never surf on a board waxed like that. I ride a HPSB and I still am all over it in the small waves we have here. I even jump up towards the nose to make sections. Anyway cool board!
I think when I uploaded the pics they got a little compressed...they make it look like a Biscuit but its not really that stubby. I'm thinking about going with the same shape but maybe a 6.0 - 6.2, depends on what I can find. I definitely like the shape and the technology much better than the pop out epoxys.
Gotcha, yeah sometimes the ole computer does play tricks on the photos we post. It looks more like the Megamind than the FBF HAHA... You'll love the new version w/Kick if you decide to go that route. I dig how it waxes up perfectly every time and the added grip is a huge bonus, but it was really intended to be lighter / stronger, which I have to believe it is, but no way for me to really compare as I only own the one with kick. So what's making you want the same shape but a larger board?
