ManIssues, talk to Micah bouts your ignore function. Doesn't seem to be functional. Better yet, take "the rapist for a thousand" and work on your self-control and follow through for things you set limits to but apparently can't stay away from. In the meantime, the WCS (West Coast Savants) will gladly treat you to fish tacos as you discuss the finer points of Starchy surveillance.

 

I went to coastal carolina yr 1-2 (myrtle beach) but lived in north myrtle so a better swell window was a drive to the north, then I transferred to unc w yr 3-4. Spent all 4 summers living in tents in the dunes with a friend of mine and our dogs in the outer banks dunes bartending and waiting tables at night. Surfed a lot. As far a marine biology I graduated with honors in that field however you have to love it, I had an in with woods hole in MA my 2nd cousin is a senior researcher there and after 35 yrs there he just broke 48k per yr. That being said in the future that field may become more lucrative with the green movement. I however became a small business owner instead of chasing one of the few $$$ jobs available in that field. Go somewhere you can surf. Surfers need surf or we dry up. Good luck!

Surfer Magazine had a ranking at one point. I remember UNC Wilmington was way up there on the East Coast.

 

let me present to you the following points:

1. marine biology = waiter when you graduate
2. uncw is not easy to get into anymore
3. out of state tuition is crazy high
4. the only place you will surf is cb. wb and masonboro are a ef'nig zoo. even f8 gets crowded now. you will hate driving all the way down to cb.


go to fit and get a real degree

 

+1 you can do some really cool stuff with the classes in Marine Technology. Apparently you go out on the Cape Fear river on the ferry a good bit for classes. Pretty awesome if you ask me (UNCW graduate).

definitely go for a degree like that if you're thinking about it now. you will regret not doing it. go somewhere in southern california, theres plenty of colleges near surf spots around there. especially in san diego
