Hey, I'm a Ocean City, Maryland surf photog and I'll be coming to Florida in mid-November and staying in Tampa area, are there any places for me to hit to catch some good shots? I know the San Sebastian area is good, but would it be worth a day trip? I'm also planning to be in Ft. Lauderdale for a day or 2. fl trip not too sure about the tampa area unless there's a front or hurricane in the gulf but if your gonna be in ft. laudy then make the trip north to palm beach/juno/jupiter area. Should only be about an hour drive and there are some great spots to take pics. I'd recommend jupiter island. There's park called coral cove that has some rock reef sticking out of the water right in front of the break and there's also a park on singer island, closer to west palm, called ocean reef park which also has a bunch of rock reef. a little south of there ,still on singer island, is pumphouse (good spot to go to to shoot even without waves due to the old rusty pumphouse sticking out over the water) which if big gets nastier and heavier than any spot in FL. Look up youtube videos of pumphouse and you'll see what im talking about.
