Nothing has been inked yet, I think they're just using the continued buzz from their fight by mentioning immediate rematch to keep their names hot and but then give them a different opponent knowing people will still watch hoping that they both win in spectacular fashion setting up a much bigger / higher selling rematch later between them.

Here's where they are at right now, it (rematch) could happen, but I see a curve ball coming. Even if they book the fight, someone will get injured or some sh*t.

I think Conor is crazy to fight at 170 again. He should stick to his weight.

Ego is a helluva a drug? He wants to prove a point. I say go for it if you can. But it definitely is risky as F, which is what makes him so fun, but he better back it up this time. If it even happens.

Yeah. I think it's great that he wants to. And it's awesome to watch. But I just think he's too small for the weight.
You have guys 6'1,6'2 sucking weight to get to 170. At 5'9 that's a huge difference

Irishmen are stubborn and we shorter guys like to prove we can hang with taller dudes. I can relate lol

Whats funny is all the sh!t he was talking to Faber and Dillonshaw during the Ultimate Fighter. Calling them twerps... At 170 he's the twerp

Yeah, it's all relative lol, but if he can start knocking the bigger dudes out then that might change. :)

I like how Fedor use to destroy dudes much bigger than him in the HW division. That dude should of been a 205'er but he likes fighting a little flabby and it worked for him, one of the GOATs, hard to argue with his strategy, till he got older and the younger fighters caught up to him.

I respect Frankie for fighting at his natural weight and beating dudes who were cutting 15-25lbs and was always the smaller fighter in the LW division.

I think we'll see more and more of it now that they are "cracking down" on the PED's (yeah right)

His problem is that he's a heavy handed fighter when he's fighting at 155. Those bigger dudes can eat his punches and keep coming. Where the smaller guys fold up.

LOL Yeah OK, i'm telling you, this was the plan from the get go. They know what they're doing, it's going to build this fight to an even bigger payoff than the first. They're not done either, more curve balls are coming. Dana learned a lot from Vince McMahon and the WWE...

Dana and the fighters are in on it, I called it from the start. Same with the DC and Bones Jones Fight, it's all about the build up to increase PPV buys and spreading talent out on each card so that they don't blow their wad and have nothing left for future cards.

UFC 200 is booked solid, so they don't need that fight to make it a blockbuster. They sold enough off of this fight being on the card and most of those people aren't going to cancel now, the ole bait and switch.

What is being reported in the media is the story line that they want you buy and believe but what is actually happening is a masterfully orchestrated business strategy that is being discussed and executed behind closed doors by the promoters and fighters.

They use Twitter as a way to write their story lines and the fans eat that sh*t up. Why make 1 million when you can make 10 on the same thing? Some call it the take away technique in the sales industry. You take something away from someone and suddenly they want it more than ever. Fight promoting 101.

    Dana White:

"If he called me after this interview we could probably still do it. The problem is this: you have to be here to promote your fight and you have to shoot these commercials. We're spending like $10 million dollars in promotion for UFC 200 and all that money is emotion. You can't do this, I don't care who you are."

Translation, let's see what the reaction is by the fans and decide whether to make the fight happen now or later. They're still far enough out from fight day to do whatever they need to do. It's also possible this is just to get more people talking about it, maybe they felt the buzz was too low for a milestone such as UFC 200. Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear.

Wow, conspiracy theories from DPSUP lol. ;)

Just kidding bro, you hit every single point dead on.

I've been saying this for years now, Dana White is a cross between Vince McMahon and Don King. I don't really like his stylee, but he's been brilliant while building the marque.

In other news, Fedor Emelianenko is getting close to signing a deal with the UFC, a bit past his prime, but should have some decent match ups for him.
