Suite, the live stream is playing on the embedded video without having to do anything.

I was just talking about this with a friend. Sometimes that wave looks so doable to us mere mortals. But then you really start thinking. The pros surf solo much faster then us. Is it really doable or are they just making it look doable and easy.

I guess we will never know unless we go. Id love to surf that wave under the right conditions

For sure. I would like to add that it was more user friendly early in the day but it got more hollow and faster as the day went on.

Watch Felipe Toledo surfing that wave frontside in the quarters, semis and final.
He's a speed demon...pumping along on the flats past sections, floating sections, getting barreled as a way to get past sections. and still always getting close to being clipped.

my take is yeah sure part of it is doable, but not 400 meters all connected for us...we're going to get a good long section of the wave, and then let behind. as a goofy footer, i know i cant generate that kind of continuous speed and navigate obstacles on my backside.

When I picture myself surfing it I see myself going down the line maximizing speed. No huge carves or off the lips.

I hoping for the appearance of the resident sharks.
