damn... that is awesome.... Cory is a pretty cool dude... i surfed with him and Pete Mendia in Panama city during gustav... and surfed with Shea and Gorkin during Ike... those guys rip for sure.
Thanks everyone! LiF, were you at Amazons? I went down there for Gustav myself. Surfed/shot Amazons the day the swell was arriving then Mexico Beach the day of the swell. Never really got it very good unfortunately. Heard the day after was pretty good though. Oh well, came home to great waves
yeah, we surfed St. Andrew's park that afternoon when the swell showed up, the inside started doubling up an hour or so before dark... made my way to the outside...it was like 3' overhead death barrels... sooo much fun... the next day was fun at AMMO's for about the first 3 hours... then it got crowded as hell, so i left and went to mexico beach. i surfed Amazon's 4 days in a row for Ike... it was alot bigger and at the most, maybe 25 people out (compared to Gustav, when i lost count at 150+) alot of the older guys i know said that it was the biggest, best form they had seen it in over 25 years... it was truly epic gulf coast.
i'd be willing to bet you couldn't rip your way out of a wet paper bag... go paddle out on your Bic kook.
Hey Matt, as i'm sure you are already aware of, that Lopez sequence is on surfline... congrats again, awesome photos. http://www.surfline.com/surf-news/f...-come-a-september-to-remember_18991/photos/1/
Thanks everyone. Really stoked I was able to get that wave on camera. It was def a sick one! Hope to get more shots tomorrow. Should be fun.
hey whats the deal with getting prints. I would love to have a poster of cory lopez getting a deep pit at my favorite spot. Lopez 7 is screaming to have a poster made of it
Rates for print and CDs are listed on my website under the Photo Rates page. I can also do poster size prints as well. Just drop me a line and let me know which size you want and we'll go from there. Thanks! M
