    Hey everyone,
I was just looking for an opinion on this study abroad trip that I could possibly take to Costa Rica. Were basically staying for a month in the town of Heredia which is like just outside San Jose. We stay in Heredia for basically the entire trip with the exception of a weekend where we go to some beach in Maunel Antonio, and there is a possibility of going to Playa Hermosa. Is it worth it to go on this trip? Like is there any way to get to a nearby beach every day or two? Personally I think i might wait for another year and try to go somewhere where we are literally staying right on the beach or something. Thanks for any advice.

Jaco/Hermosa are the closest at about 2 hours away.

why is this even a question?!?

who cares if you only get to the beach every other day? i'd be stoked if i got to the beach once a week w/ that opportunity! costa rica has so much more to it than just surf...& while playa hermosa gets great waves & it would be great to surf as much as possible while you're there, this is an opportunity that you should jump at w/ no hesitation!

i did a study abroad in costa rica in san jose and it was awesome. You might get tired of being in the city, but you should have plenty of opportunity to take long weekends to the beach or wherever else you want to go.

I had an awesome experience and would highly recommend it.
