    Witches Rock in Tamarindo is very user friendly. You have playa grande 5 mins away by boat- a little longer by car, for a more "advanced" wave. Learn to surf in the whitewater out front and if there is any decent swell in the area you can get a few good ones. Wake up early though, out front gets crowded. Good spots to eat and plenty of board rentals. There is a nice smoothie place in town too.. if you are into the healthy stuff like me haha.
