My friend has been using Pedialyte before she surfs with some success. I het hideous shin cramps which are nearly impossible to stretch out. Then there's the dreaded toe cramps where they stick out straight as a board. The cramps have been better since I began to have less intense seshes. Instead of going full on for 3-4 hours, I rest on the beach 5-10 minutes about every 45-60 minutes. It's a shame, but otherwise we are talking pain, suffering and a shortened sesh. I also drink a bottle of Gatorade.
