Palos Verdes (near LA) has had them for quite awhile. Used to see them flying among the trees in the Malaga Cove area.
I was at a underwater science facility working on genetically engineered sharks when one of them broke loose and started killing everyone. Then LL Cool J showed up and killed the shark by exploding it with electricity. It was nuts man.
^^Pffht, that's nothing. I once went up into space with some other dudes and a chick. We crash landed on what we thought was a far away planet. A planet populated by intelligent simians!!!! They killed all my buddies. (The girl we were all supposed to bang died in the crash) I eluded them into the desert only to discover that I had returned to earth in the distant future. I found the Statue of Liberty half-buried in the sand! It was horrible man.
Well, one good thing came from it. I found a hot scantily clad native human who can't talk. I get to have all the sex and no back talk or nagging.
Back to reality... Went on a float down the Dan River on the NC VA border. Had a bald eagle do a fly over about 50 feet above us. Also saw a huge flock of nesting blue herons. I always thought they would be ground nesters. There were about 15 mating pairs up in this huge beach tree. It was like watching a flock of pterodactyls... And I know this because I have a time machine and once went back to the Triassic Period.
I was walking up to the beach to scope out the situation at first light. Saw a dolphin bust an air whilst riding a wave. Pretty cool
You stumbled upon a Rookery my friend. Found a video of some suburban white folks from the 90's that will teach you all about them.
