Hey guys, I was out surfing today and stepped on something, it did not cut through my bootie but it did some damage to my foot. It cut my foot right behind my toes and its a pretty good cut. I was thinking about putting a plastic bag on my foot and then in my bootie to keep it dry next time I got in? anyone have any suggestions?.

how do you cut your foot without the object cutting through your bootie?

thats what i was thinking! like what the Fu*k i think it may have hit hard and split it but its no good... just cleaned by bootie and there is for sure no hole in the bootie just a lot of red nasty water.

3m Tegaderm.....A waterproof bandage like the clear sticky ones they use in hospitals to hold down IVs to your hand. Get at walmart or other pharmacys.

You could have stepped on a nail. a small hole through the bootie wouldn't be seen, as the neoprene would push back together. depending on the depth of the cut, spray some liquid skin on it. will sting like hell, but it will hold it shut. wrap it with duct tape after that, you'll be fine

Reminds me when I stepped on a broken shard of beer bottle glass walking on the parking lot to the beach. The piece of glass got stuck to the ball of my foot, and when I got it out bled out pretty bad. I let it bleed and wrapped it up and went surfing. I was a little paranoid about infection but it turned out ok. Always carry neosporin, alcohol pads, and bandages in my car. Plus I look down and watch the path I'm walking on carefully
