Exactly! Being a parent is hard but you made the decision. I always think raising your kids to be good, honest people is the most important thing. I know education can further their life and career but I'll take a good kid that lives life to the fullest over the valedictorian any day. The hard part is that you wan't them to be good which requires enforcing rules but they are just kids and you just want them to be happy. Definitely hard to hit all points but you have to try. Quitting on your kids or leaving them is a douche move.

+ 1 It makes you appreciate your parents much more once you have kids. It's very hard to deal with your parents dying too. People who haven't lost parents, don't understand it yet. Having a parent die when you are very young is bad enough but I can't imagine how it feels if they left intentionally.

I also love these dads or moms who reunite with their kids later in life. The other parent already did the hard part with no sleeping, diapers, etc and then this parents wants to come along now.

some funny posts on here lol, didnt know this thread was still alive.

I expect parents to act like normal people,u know, fuk up sometimes lol.cant be perfect 24/7.like shyt my dad left us and I wish I got to stay over there with him than my current situation.sounds fukd up,my mom did plenty fine, but my father was rich lol.he lived in southhampton at the time, all east that area towards Montauk,i imagine my life would of turned out a lot better financially instead of being raised in a poor home with a mom supporting 4 kids by herself.thats life tho, makes u who u are.i just don't see the need for grudges, unless ur dad raped u or did some heinous shyt.

gotta remember, dads were us at some point of their life.circle of life man lol.....................

Well, I always gave him sh!t, business deal or not.

    Selling dreams to the clueless.

"Oh dudes, seven days from now, SI is calling for OCMD to be 6 foot and 42 seconds. I'm planning a surf. Tell your friends."

What a racket. Here, in the east, you can't plan, man, you have to get it when it's on. And only Jesus can tell when the east coast will be on. It only happens 5-12 times a year anyhow.

Oh, how I long for quality. And here you got dudes in Oregon with quality, and they're all angry, and none of them could even beat Rob Kelly in a 3A Junior Men's ESA heat. They even have an ample supply of llamas. I talked to one such fellow on the computer years back. He said he sold ready rocks and drove a Volvo. Said he knew quite a few llamas, too

I can't even drive these days.

So, they got this quality left, llamas, Volvos, and all I got is some mediocre shifty beach breaks and no driver's license. And Bub wants to be just like me when he grows up. Thank God he spent some time in South Jersey.

Then, I know some dude who moved to Brooklyn for God's sakes. And the other weeks he was living-it-up as NY liked the winds, but most of New Jersey did not. Oh sure, they say,"Go to Cape May..."

I can't. I just told you Christie don't let me drive anymore. Man, if I had driving powers I could be at Seen's place in less than three hours. That's nothing. I used to drive around aimlessly drinking beer longer than that on any given night in the 1990's. Yeah sure, Philly to Wildwood to Trenton all in some casual Coors-inspired evening.

Some might say, "Well, why doesn't Seen go to NJ. He can drive?"

My best guess is that New Jersey kind of freaks Seen out and rightfully so. This is no place for decent human beings to live.
