Howdy all, I'll be working in Dana Point for the 1st week of April. I heard mixed things about the break, mainly pollution--any advise where I can paddle out locally? Good vibe and mellow long board breaks are key.

Well theres Doheny in Dana Point, great longboarding spot, but doesnt really break in the winter, more of a summer swell. There is Salt Creek in Dana Point, but its mostly shortboarders, but a good spot to go. Or you can go to Old Man's down in San Onofre but that cost 10 bucks get into. Thats the best longboarding spot. San Onofre is about 15 to 20 mins South of Dana Point. Plus San Onofre tends to have better water quality then anywhere else. Hope this helps:cool:
