you could take the ferry up from DE to cape may and surf there, or you could drive up from cape may to LBI where there are some great waves
Its not going to bring us any waves, so dont even bother to go out.. go shopping. I did hear though that its causing lots of bull sharks, hammerheads and great whites to start swimming towards the mid atlantic states. The oil from the gulf has made them insane with rage and want to eat anyone in the water... so stay out for your own safety.
FYI - lets please keep the "where should i go" name spot dropping out of the forums. It just pisses off locals whenever you drop their spots.
i dunno, if i had a choice i'd probably play it safe and use the step-up just because these are going to be very powerful waves, especially over the weekend
Yeah...1995...was gonna name my firstborn Kyle (but we had a girl). Shoulder / Head high tubes all week long in the outer banks. Pretty sure that was around last week Sept t0 first week Oct. Was quite a year.

Ya I am mid NJ and it sucked where I was. Tide was too fat with the high tide and when the tide started to drain it got all chopped out. Waves were only waist high. Waist high at best...
Exactly, it was to high the whole time i was there and the wind went North. There was only a few waist high waves coming through maybe every 10-15 minutes.
