BTW, did anyone try to contact the site adnim to see what is going on? You know, where it says "Contact Us" down the bottom of the page?
Somewhere in Tejas, an undulating slobbering non-surfing bloviator with a restraining order is sitting at a sticky keyboard in its BVDs & decided to hijack the website.
Yeah that's pretty much what i do. I'll check here and surfline for predicted swell size, but that's just to get an idea, still check the buoy day of and even then i will drive down and look because nothing beats looking for yourself. For wind I'll check here and locally with accuweather and windy if i need a third opinion. And i 100% wouldn't pay. I don't think that's what's happening here. That'd be a dumb business move
Good idea, CyC.. I just did, copy: What is going on with the forecast? See the forum. The natives are restless. Thanks in advance, CCCDog
I guess the site is finally falling apart after all these years of a down word spiral At least I can still chat with my friends like it’s 1999 on AIM. Since Micah abandone us againe I was forced to use an alternate method. I downloaded the “windy” app for weather a while back. It works great but it takes time to figure out since it has a lot of options and is complicated. But that’s all good, it’s been accurate for weather... but found the surf forecast too! It pretty much follows swellinfo.com for the past few weeks (until the gray out) Here is an example- it looks like this Friday is the call for Belmar....
19 years later the y2k bug has affected the only website I care about. RIP At 9am this morning the gray begins. I hope you are prepared.
In defense of Micah; he sold the site several years ago to some kinda communications group that purchases these "start ups" to sell advertising. I've also heard Micah has not done forecasting for nearly a year. So who ever is behind the scenes now is as gray as the forecast. I hope the SI owners fix it but without the forecast the site will die over time.
Is anyone else's forecast not working? I'm just seeing grey, no change in size or texture for the entire 7-day forecast.
