Oh sh*t I forgot, that was last week on that tiny day! I remembered it as that glassy chest high day a few weeks back. That makes it even worse!

Like a 18 - 20 footer. It was just dumb...towing a guy around in circles and then cruising up the beach whipping the guy into a waist high wave, while kicking up waist high wake. I was rooting for the inevitable yardsale that never came.

    Dear Mr. Bgoods99,

I received your private message. Lets not do this behind closed doors. The open air is fresh.

If you "can" surf, and furthermore if your pulling into proper barrels at South Side, you wouldn't be aimlessly throwing around your "aloha bravado."

    A few questions for you:

    1. Is this a form verse function issue for you?
    2. Was there any type of negative language being used in the letter?
    3. Was this letter written in a peaceful & open ended manner?
    4. If someone is being sprayed within inches of a knife edged rail, while patiently & calmly sitting outside the swell line, by a skim-boarder whipping into waves, while surfers are paddling & swimming & surfing in the soup area, IS IT SAFE FOR A LAWNMOWER TO BE DRAGGING PEOPLE AROUND IN THE VERY SAME LINE-UP?
    5. How can we teach Mr. Bill Baxter on "how-to" ease the tension within the line-up?

The jet ski-crew has been warned and all parties have adjusted accordingly. There will not be any special privileges for lawn-mowing-zip-string-things in crowded line-ups.

    Stay safe & chive on,
    DE Port Authority

This thread is interesting and its a situation I can imagine not many surfer in the world have had to deal with. Ya know, having a winch ripping skimmers into dumping shore break barrels that surfers are also riding.

It begs the question, which has been brought up previously, who has right-of-way? Communication from the beach to the line-up or vice-versa while paddling/running/winching for a wave seems practically impossible.

It really blows that our sandbars are so out of whack that both surfers and skimmers fight for the wave. Can we get the Surfrider foundation to convince the ACOE to hook SoDel up with its own "snapper-style" sandbar?

Hey wannabe Port Authority dude. Why don't you just keep this crap in the PM. Kind of gay to bring your whine fest about a single area to a nationwide surf forum. Why not do like all the other kiddies and tweet, facebook, instagram or vine about it.

Superbust hit the nail on the head. This is a forced confrontation set in motion by the politicians that continue to accept money as part of a practice that serves no purpose - beach replenishment. The dangers of skimming and surfing in close proximity should be presented as an example of the many hazards set in motion as a result of beach replenishment.

Take the fight to them - not against each other
