You have to be one of those dudes that sits in the line up and shoulder hops every wave he can get then proceeds to throw his hands in the air screaming "BARREL". You're a joke. I can see people getting banned for death threats and other things but I literally put "#takeover" and got banned for 10 days. Sometimes when im on here I feel like im in school again because of how enforced things are. Its a forum, and if anything a surfing forum. The thing that really got me was that the reason stated was "trolling". Do you know what trolling is simod4? Have you ever looked at youtube comments? Theres so many people on here that are obvious trolls that dont get banned. Anyways, how come all the other Mason Ho treads didnt get banned? Lemme know.
Welcome back Dune homie. I like your hat. Nice work, as always, Metard. That bug eyed lady must have strong fingers on her right hand.
The 5 Emotional Stages Of Being Banned 1. Denial and Isolation The first reaction to learning of being banned is to deny the reality of the situation. It is a normal reaction to rationalize overwhelming emotions. It is a defense mechanism that buffers the immediate shock. This is a temporary response that carries us through the first wave of pain. 2. Anger As the masking effects of denial and isolation begin to wear, reality and its pain re-emerge. You are not ready. You feel guilty for being angry, and this makes you more angry. 3. Bargaining The normal reaction to feelings of helplessness and vulnerability is often a need to regain control– Secretly, you may make a deal with SIMOD in an attempt to postpone the inevitable. 4. Depression Sometimes all you really need is a hug. 5. Acceptance Reaching this stage of banning is a gift not afforded to everyone. This phase is marked by withdrawal and calm. Coping with being banned is a ultimately a deeply personal and singular experience — nobody can help you go through it more easily or understand all the emotions that you’re going through. The best thing you can do is to allow yourself to feel the grief as it comes over you. Resisting it only will prolong the natural process of never being permitted to post again.
Raises some fair points in my opinion. I still think the mods should have to publically account for thier actions. Would make everyone's lives easier. We would know the boundries. They would be obeyed and understood more thus making thier jobs easier.
I've never been BANNED before, but I believe this is right-on-the-money. Wow. Hey Dune, be warned that talking smack to them post-temporary ban just puts a mark on you. Actually, if I posted this thread I'd get punished. Power corrupts, Dune. Even internet moderator power. Yo, here's a hint: Send the powers that be McDonald's Gift Certificates. That usually greases their palms. No one can resist a Quarter Pounder with Cheese. And a free Quarter Pounder with Cheese.....c'mon? Yo, Dune, how's your sister?
