Bought 2 Hollister boards off CraigstList for $250...Sold them a month later for $500... Suckers.

 

The art and image of surfing from what I can tell looks very grim. Wave pools, motorized surfboards, designer surfboards, designer surf wear, surf schools, "surf instructors"and the like. Shoot, you don't even have to learn to get to your feet anymore, just take a damn paddle wit ya. Don't get me wrong I am all for a free market. After all this is America, but for hells sake where does the dollar stop? The people popping out these products for a niche market, don't give a flip if it over crowds any line up or if Johnny Utah puts his and your life in danger. The more mo, mo better. When will they understand that surfing isn't for everyone? But they sure are gonna try like hell. Sorry for kicking the kitty but " surfing sucks...don't try it!"

 

Not necessarily... Now, are these boards gluten-free?

 

Imagine working for Mercedes or Louis V. building boards. Wow. I don't know if I'd do it or not.

 

You'd do it, you'd take that fat pay check, and you'd be quiet about it, so as not to jinx it.

When the water gets cold and the waves bigger they are no where to be found. Let them have their knee high slop in July on designer boards.

Let's be honest though. Some producer bought the cheapest surfboard and got a sign company to emblazon their customer's label on the board. Unless Mr. McNamara tells me different, designer boards don't surf.

 

imho any board thats shaped for waves on the other side of the continent/earth, and you pay out the ass for, is a designer board. See: CI, ...Lost, JS, etc.
