How long can you use a board with a ding before the water becomes a problem? because ive been surfing this 6 7 Campbell brothers fish with a ding at the bottom for a few years.

exactly 0.000 seconds. never, ever surf a board w/ an open ding (assuming you care at all about that board)!!!

You never ever want to surf a board with a open ding for these reasons

    1. It make the board heavy from all the water being sucked up in the foam . In the long run it will change the power to weight ratio of the board killing the perfromance if it

    2. The salt water will ruin the foam it will turn brown and become brittle and then after the water freezes and gets warn the fiberglass will begin to delaminate.

If you have been surfing a board with a ding for that long hang it on a wall cause thats all its really good for now and go out and buy a new board and take care of this one
