I haven't posted any threades lately, so here. I smoked a pork picnic then shredded it. Made some coleslaw, added jalapeño for a little spice. Then I took the pulled pork, put it on a flour tortilla, added the slaw and them some sriracha. Yeah, it was redonkulous!! Okay, that's all.
Yours sounds better. Burgers and brats... a couple of rum cocktails. A big fresh salad, much of it out of the garden... kale, spinach, arugula, radishes, mint, carrots, cucs, grape tomatoes, melon, mango, goat cheese, a drizzle of balsamic reduction glaze... a few pistachios.
Z -- Tasty. Your combo reminds me .. I was on the road and I had a Cubano (with fried plaintains) the other night at Legal C Bar Derby Street Shoppes. It was superb. The onlookers eating sushi were reconsidering their selection...
All I got is the description off the menu: Cubano - pulled pork, ham, swiss, pickles, sweet & spicy mustard, fried plantains Never had one before. I may attempt to concoct one on my own sometime.

Tonight was chicken on the grill, rubbed with Pomegranate Red Bell Rub from Shopwise Meat Market in VA Beach (this place has great Italian subs and good cuts of meat - you fellas in the VA Beach/Sandbridge need to check it out. It's on Seaboard Rd.). Sorry no pics. Oh yeah, we had some random rice/black bean/corn combo with cilantro and sauteed red onions we whipped up. All good after the PM sesh.
Those look like the appetizers I snacked on here on Cape. Sweet little nugs once the fog lifted and the onshore wind layed down a bit. You definitely do have better pizza
Cape dawg who has better pizza NY or NJ? Yeah the fog on the water was heavy for DP..isn't there a cool Rock n roll song aboutz it
I can't say for sure, as I haven't sampled it all (NJ vs NY). One thing is for sure it kills the pies we have here (Cape). Beantown north end can at least get in the race...
Last night included slow cooked beef shank (5hrs to be exact) in a root vegetable/tomato stew... good sh*t if i do say so myself.
I think I had a protein bar, glass of milk and PB&J sammich. I don't really eat real meals other than when the wahine makes them. I basically eat a math equation of protein, fat and carbs. If it tastes great then bonus.
Sorry Metard, I didn't take any pics this time. you fellas sound like you had some good eats as well! And Jawn, your brunch looked very tasty! Don't think i've ever had pork roll, isn't it like Spam? Yank, this pork had more of a BBQ/smoke flavor instead of the MexiCan flavor of delicious carnitas. Oh man, now I want carnitas!!!! I didn't slather down the pork with BBQ sauce either, just the rub and smoke. Emass, your sounds good too, man. Ha
