I don't think it's the culture of the Swiss to eat domestic dogs and cats...just my guess...it wouldn't been so surprising if it was a Chinese chef or any other far east country representing...not being hypocritical.
Dogs helped us hunt, cats guarded our grains. Yes factory farming is cruel, but those Asians are Ho Lee Fuk'd up. The Chinaman is the issue here, dude.
Cats would eat us if they could. Just sayin'. It's a cultural thing. Think of all the people that could be fed off of strays who are going to be euthanized anyway. Seems like a waiste of resources to me. I agree it is kinda hypocritical to point fingers at others choices if you eat meat.
