Do you surf how you skate?

I live in FL where there aren't many hills. I ride mine around the neighborhood. I'd love to take it out to a bowl or an embankment if I found a good one but haven't ventured out on it like that yet. I just go surf if I have to drive anywhere. It's helped with my pumping and carving turns. I'm able to generate a lot more speed than ever before.
