Does anyone else kiteboard ?

    I think kite boarding compliments surfing so well .. When the wind is blowing 20kts or more and the surf is just a mushy mess , the currents ripping . Grab your 5'11 and your kite , head out into that messy/sloppy/windy surf and take the top off about 30 waves . In one session on a down winder you can catch 20 or 30 waves , beat the closeouts and not have to duck dive once or even paddle back out .
    But when the wind dies and then goes off shore . You throw down your kite. Grab that 5 '11 again and go surf some clean waves . When its completely flat and no waves in sight for a few , there is usually an afternoon breeze that kicks in . Helped me for so many years here on the east coast in the summer..
