I've seen horses so disgustingly skinny in Rincon and surrounding towns that if they were on mainland US they owner would be arrested for animal cruelty that day, and rightly so. Some of the dogs are not cared for much better. I think you'd be better off as a stray dog there than owned by some of those ignorant people. At least the tourists feed you and you'd have a chance to get adopted.

Yah, that horse who's tied up in the middle of that brown-grass golf course with no shade & a bucket of water (empty) for 9 hours a day in the PR scorching sun...between him & the chained dog, PR experience took on new meaning.

I would go around the world and round them all up one by one if I could. Right now i'm just trying to get my own dog back to health at this moment. Had a rough weekend with him. Took him to the vet with a ruptured anal gland and while he was there he jumped off the examining table and hit the ground and nearly broke his spine. He wasn't able to move his legs for over an hour, then come to find out he has severe arthritis. He's walking and playing now, but still have to nurse him back to health after his surgery to the anal gland. Yeah I flipped out on the vet and the assistant for their negligence as they were dumb enough to not take him off the examining table after examining him, no, they were more concerned with going over the bill with my wife and all it took was a split second and splat on the floor. So right now, he's my main concern.

Thanks dude, he's a tough lil guy so he should rebound ok, just tender right now. At 12 he doesn't heal quite as fast so we'll see how long till he's back to his old self.

Thanks man, picking him up now as we speak. That video is disgusting though, my ex boss is Peruvian, wish they would stone him instead of the poor sea lions. How could anybody hurt one of those? Look at their face! Just wrong man, hope the fisherman die a slow painful and humiliating death at the hands of another living being

The stray dog situation in Puerto Rico has been like that for some time. I assume its like that in neighboring islands as well. It is very sad when you see the dogs that are thing as can be and many have bad injuries. I'm guessing a lot could be avoided if spaying and neutering was taking seriously there.
