I too have a family member who is gay and love her dearly so don't get me wrong. I just think your insinuation of hatred is being judgmental b/c someone does not think its ok to live a certain way (chosen or not). I have family members who are very conservative (from a values standpoint). Certain ones have a very hard time with homosexuality but I don't see hate. See what I'm getting at? The surfing community is not homogenous.

I tried to push back some on this thread with one post early on but gave up after I was called an "idiot" and was told to change my name to "be a loon". My mind wasn't changed in the slightest but I've got too much going on to get into a long back and forth on a surfing blog.
