Don't know but I know both parties are against him, the media doesn't like him, wall street doesn't like him. That tells me he could definitely stir it up because people are tired with the status quo. I'm hoping it will bring the possibility of future third party candidates who will really bring about change. Hillary Clinton is the status quo.

I just hope for a future candidate who can bring about real change.

I see what you're saying. It can pave the way though. I agree with his stance on many issues. Even he gets a few done, than it's good for US citizens. I'm hoping it will pave a way to other future independent candidates who are against the status quo. I believe we are getting there now. If he comes through on some of the issues, it could be a step in the right direction.

Hillary will not change anything except taking away more of our rights in the same of security, taking our money, not ending illegal immigration, bring in more Syrian refugees without background checking. She is even worse than the status quo.

This is not a liberal talking point. Transsexual men have been going into the ladies room for decades and no one cared. I didn't care. You didn't care. It was not an issue because it never caused any issues.

It is only a "talking point" because conservative lawmakers have attempted to now restrict their movements with legislation. On a side note this is impossible to enforce because one: all people dont carry their birth certificates, and two: you would need to inspect genitalia to enforce it. My point though is this, as a liberal, I wouldn't have to speak a word of this if there wasn't specified legislation created to speak out against.

Do you know any trans-people? I had a boss in the 90s who was by birth a man but had spent decades living as a woman. She and nearly all (yes there will be weirdos in all populations but in no greater numbers in this than any other group) just wanted to live her life as a woman. She would have been SO out of place in the men's room as to cause chaos for any man in there. She used the ladies room when necessary and not a single little girl was ever harmed.

This is not a "liberal talking point" it is a "social issue controversy" created by conservative lawmakers. One of many to keep the base fired up about pointless issues.

 

So you are aware Archy, until you acknowledge the Trump tax plan issue i tried to bring up a few days ago, I'm done responding to your posts. I stated a clear fact that his plan is to drop the top earners from 39% to 25% and wanted to know what your thoughts on the issue were as this is a major issue in this election. Massive tax cuts for the rich will have huge implications. I looked forward to and expected, even would have respected, a thoughtful response from you. You however said, that wasn't his tax plan, showing you to either be, woefully uniformed or willfully avoiding a widely reported and documented fact. Then you hit me on the semantics of the term "3rd tier" while still ignoring the tax break issue.

It's necessary and productive to have a debate on these issues as long as both sides are debating their opinions based on facts.

You go do some research and inform yourself and we can talk election again. Until then I'll gladly deal with the others in this thread or talk surf with you elsewhere.

You hit yourself. The 3rd tier is the middle class. Hes saying highest earner bracket of the middle class.
There are more than 3 tiers in the tax code, and different brackets within the middle class.
If you cut the 3rd tier highest earner bracket taxes, i'm all for it.
The money they save from taxes they will spend in local economies. More nights out, new possessions, home improvement, etc. Thus sparking the economy and putting more people in lower brackets to work through more demand for products and services. In the long run tax revenue will increase.
If this money goes straight to the government, the less the lower classes will work. The Govt. doesn't create jobs. None that actually produces anything except bloated bureaucracies.
The more money in the public sphere, and the less in Govt. control, the healthier the economy.
The more money in Govt. hands, the less people have, the more need for a welfare system.
Hillary wants to raise taxes on the middle class. That's me. Don't know bout you, but do you want to pay more in taxes? Wouldn't you like that extra cash to spend in your local area, on a surf trip and help their local economies?

If you are sooooo concerned about saving the planet for your children, then why do you eat animals? Animal agriculture is one of the most destructive industries for the planet.
