Michael Jackson's doctor may be responsible for the current nutballs still being in power in Iran. Remember when, in July 2009, there were 1000s of Iranian citizens protesting the election results? Even though the Revolutionary Guard was going door to door and slicing up protesters, they did not give in. The world finally began to notice. The protesters, under grave threat, begged the world for help. The world was just beginning to notice. It looked as though Iran may finally be returned to the moderates...

Then...

Michael Jackson died.

So did the protesters.

The world immediately turned their backs on the protesters, who were herded up by the 1000s and savagely silenced.

So... In a way, Michael Jackson's former doctor is responsible not only for the early death of a musical genius, but for the situation we have today in Iran.

This really moved me at the time.

So bizarre.

 

Reminds me of the past week.
All the front pages were about some Olympic swimmer lying.

This is a tricky one here. Speaking from my factory days... Imagine you're workin in a big plant and your supervisors are freakin buttmunches. Your coworkers have been egging you on forever to jump in there and try to be the one that changes things. To be the supervisor everyone wishes for. Someone that not only can do the line work, but can be the boss too. THEIR kinda boss. So you dive in. You do it for a few years, and be the guy they had hoped for. Their advocate. A boss who actually feels 'em. But it drives you F***ing nuts. You do it for a few years, then you move on to another job. The guys on the floor wish you weren't leaving, but they TOTALLY understand why you don't wanna stay.

Maybe not the best example, but it's all I got.

True, the Iranian-Contra Affair, which was the direct result of cowardly democrat Congress again ruining "the American Way", which, in your posts, you clearly hate as much as Osama Bin Laden. That is clear to all. The only thing Reagan did wrong was getting caught. As a result, Nicaraua fell to the Sandinistas (communists, or, i.e., your pals) and many were assassinated by them (which must make you very happy, I am sure). Things changed, Ortega was out for a while, now back in, AND, if you haven't heard (of course not--your commie media will not tell you), the killings have quietly resumed again , now that Ortega is getting old and paranoid.
As for myself, I don't care one way or another. But my question always will remain the same--given your abject hate for all things American, why don't you have to guts to move away?? For crying out loud, even Bernie celebrated his first honeymoon in Moscow when the country was known as the USSR......why not you, and others like you??

 

One bit of clarification. The part of the supervisor gig that drove me Nuckin Futz wasn't the actual job. It was awesome being the guy the crew wanted. I loved being on the floor and askin folks how we could do this or that better, faster, smarter, etc. It was duckin and dodgin all the long blades wielded by my new coworkers, the other management, that I got sick of. They were some evil, vindictive, bastards. They hated my very existence, which countered their entire twisted world view.

I think I know how Trump feels, a little, maybe. I remember for years, as a floor worker, listening to my supervisors in our start of the shift meetings... Listening to the completely F***ING ASSINE BS they would tell us... and thinking "How - in - the - HAIL are these F***ERS in charge?" They had no clue what the company actually DID.

The difference with Trump is he's not a career politico. He's funding his own campaign. He receives no money from special interest like 99.9% of the others. Therefore he owes no one any special favors if he's elected.
I hear, "He's doing it for his own special interest".
I don't buy it, bc he's already lost 10's of millions from people who no longer support him in his business ventures. He lost his Miss America and Miss Universe franchise. And if he loses the election, he's gonna lose alot more. Hillary and her gang of criminals will do everything they can to ruin him.
