With a track record of 5th - 9th - 13th I doubt he'll pull it off. I wouldn't mind him getting knocked out a little later in round 4 though to keep it interesting.

why? solely based on his talent.
though eclipsed on 2nd half tour by jjf (and rightfully so) he was the best surfer at the best venues 1st half.

we all know he dirties his britches when its serious

 

based solely on his talent, i figure he's prob. going to win. doesn't mean i have to like it.

i think he's a ****weasel of the highest caliber & believe he's been "pushed" through in some ways while others have been held back w/ the intention of "creating" a brazilian champ & breaking the cycle of aussie, usa, usa, aussie, aussie ('09, '10, '11, '12, '13).
i don't like his style. & while he's better than adriano, it's sort of like comparing turd sandwich to a douche taco.

 

Who cares about their popularity contest anyway.... I couldnt give a crap what some brazilian or any other pro surfer says for that matter regardless of how good he can surf. Thats my thoughts. Have a nice day.

I agree with the weasel part, but if they were trying to push him to create a brazzo champ what happened in Portugal? He clearly beat Simpson, but they gave Simpson the score.
