it was not at a esa contest but at the ecsc. I was cometing at the north beach when it happened. 2 people were on a boat and a wave came and knocked into the boat. The wave knocked the boater off the boat and he hit his hit got knocked unconsious and drown. The contest went on hold for 2 and a half hours or so. There was life guards, police, coast guards, the navy, and the dive team looking for the body which was found. It was very sad to witness. And like 5 helicopters

Yeah my parents mentioned something about it but they weren't sure. They told me about the boat accident and we weren't sure if they were related. Sorry to hear about this accident though. I heard it was a rogue wave. I dunno.

Yep, the 31 year old man who fell overboard wasnt wearing a life jacket, I was at NE when I noticed the CG jay hawk doing a lot of passes. which told me something was up, I later found out from a friend who was working on a house down by Croatan that the man fell over board at like 830 and they didnt find his body until 2 hours later about some 200yd from were he fell overboard.
