    Not that I surf but how does a surf board ment to float in the ocean get water logged in the rain. Not being an ahole BTW just curious.

    next time take the boards out of the bag and bring the bags in the tent with you...

    some of the Dakine daybag runners are made with a water proof vinyl. But most every bag on the market is going to get soaked and whey 40lb or more when drenched. Good luck.

    What you need to do, is, baste those bags. A blend of flour & urine. Let cure for two hours in the sun. You're good to go.
