very correct i use my whole leg and force it down. just put your foot on you tailpad and pushdown and with your legs and ta da you hav just duck dived.

 

lol or even worse, the first time i ever surfed a reef break i pushed my board straight into a big coral head !!

When the @$%# did a duck dive become a science. Who cares what language this dude speaks. A duck dive should not be a science, a college degree is not needed to surf. And dudes talkin about mav's like they have surfed it needs to stop. I must be pretty bored to keep posting on this thread. lol

 

Sorry to sound like a smarty pants but guys at mavericks ride guns, which can be anywhere from like 8ft to like 12 ft. Last time i checked, you can't duck dive those. I never seen a guy successfully duck dive at mavericks. they bail. Maybe punch through the very tip of the lip, but that is by no means a duck dive.

 

i have actually seen them duck dive led they dont get deep but they make it out the back.

 

show me a picture of a guy doing a duck-dive, not punching through the face, at mavs. I'd like to see...

 

okay led but our sunday surf isnt gonna be glassy anymore unless hopefully it changes.

Try twerking during your duck dives, always helps me. Also wear your gold chain on the outside of your wetsuite. If you have a 4/3 you’ll need an LL Cool J sized gold rope.
