    Hey,

if anyone has noticed the prediction of a small E ground swell over the next few days, it has started to hit the Mid Atlantic Coast and is bigger than the models were predicting. Right now some 11-13 second energy is coming in around 2-3ft on the buoys. CriticalSurfCompany posted a surf observation of waist to chest high surf in ocean city, md this afternoon (Thurs).

It will be interested to see how this ground swell holds up with the strong offshroe winds on Friday. Longer period swells are generally not very affected by local winds, but when we talk about 30mph coastal offshore winds, than I believe there is a definite influence.

Something to keep an eye on. The best thing to check is the swell height (not the combined height) on the buoys.

yup...solid 3-4 foot sets but it was more northeast swell than east...very good conditions mid afternoon with straight offshores 10-15.

looks like the strong offshores took care of the small G swell pretty quickly. Looking minimal today.

Thanks for the insight I decided to clean the house and get some chores done instead of trying to catch a few.
Seems like I made the right choice.
