Picked up a nasty ear infection right after surfing Earl the other week. Everytime it starts to get better the SOB comes back and will not go away. It even kept me out of the water last weekend with a bad fever etc. I know the water during Earl was nasty, but....anyone else get this?

There's actually another thread that addresses this. But I've had a sinus infection since Danielle. Gets better, comes back again, always tired. Missed Earl because of it. Scored Igor but had to go to the Dr to get antibiotics. Still a slow recovery. Check the other thread. There's some good suggestions and someone mentions some kind of rinse for your ears. Can't remember the name tho.

I use a Netti Pot sinus rinse everyday keep my sinuse clear and free of pollen too. I very rarely have to get meds when i get a sinus infection casue the netti pot treats it and is pretty good at preventing alergies acting up too

Ear and sinus infections are the worst. I use ear drying drops after I surf and netti pot a couple times a week too. It's easy to get addicted to the netti pot though, your sinuses feel so clear after you do it. I used to get a lot of infections when I was in the water a lot but haven't had any problems in a while. Hope you guys get better.

Found that other thread and checked it out. Statred having some issues with my facial expressions today and decided I should go the doctor. Turns out I've got viral inflammation in my ear from some sort of infection and, get this, it's putting major pressure on my facial nerves and has led to bells palsy. Pretty much have no control over the left side of my face (blinking, chewing, lips, cheeks, etc.) Doc said it's more than likely from the water and "Eventually" I'll be able to move my face. Until then I'll just have to keep drooling on myself.
Gave me some major meds and gotta go for an MRI to boot.
Learned my lession this time...go to the doc when you first feel it...not a month later. Hope others will heed this also.
