Headed to the east coast around Xmas and New Years for family BS and I'm hoping to get a week or so of surfing and camping whilst I'm back. I currently have a 3/2 and booties but it sounds like a thicker wetsuit will be called for. Any suggestions on what will work best for that time frame, working from Delaware down to North Carolina? Also any info on spots, accessibility, and typical swell would help.

For MD/DE, probably need at least 4/3 boots, gloves, and a cap.

Anybody think you can get away with 4/3 boots, gloves no hood in jersey right now?

Yes, definitely. Just keep your head as dry as possible.

haha... 3 days ago I surfed with 3/2 and boots, no gloves, no hood. Depending on air temp, you might WANT a hood and gloves... but don't need.
